10 days Tanzania wildlife and Zanzibar beach holiday

Day 1: Arrival Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met our tour guide and transferred to Arusha town for overnight at Mt. Meru Hotel.

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast at 0800hrs and drive to Lake Manyara National park to arrive in good time for lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Proceed for afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

Early morning game drive then returns to the lodge for breakfast. Depart the lodge and proceed to Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge, the archeological site of the Leakey family. Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. The Lake also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from Savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife habitats Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

A full day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the plains, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge. Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park. It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Breakfast at leisure then views the game as you drive to Ngorongoro conservation area for an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After early morning breakfast leaves with picnic lunch for a full day crater tour. You will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle, explore the crater before ascending for dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena lodge The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World,’ a visit to the crater is the main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home of Ngorongoro Crater. It was formed some 2.5 million years ago from a volcanic mountain sinking due to inactivity and was initially thought to be higher than Tanzania’s famous Kilimanjaro. The crater has evolved into a unique and integral part of Tanzania’s eco-system. The crater is actually a caldera, measures 22.5 km’s across and the rim walls stand 600m high. Views from within and from the rim are breathtaking. The crater houses 30,000 animals and a large variety of birds, which rarely move from the area due to the availability of water through wet and dry seasons

Day 7: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Zanzibar

Breakfast at Leisure then proceeds to Arusha where you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International airport to board your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar Airport, you will be met and transferred to Blue Bay Beach Resort Spa for overnight. Meal plan { Half board}

Day 8 & 9: Zanzibar

You will have 2 full days to spend at the resort with abundance of beach activities and optional excursions at extra costs. Optional excursions are like: visit to Prison Island, Zanzibar city tour, ocean exploration, and many others. Overnight at Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa Meal plan {Half board}

Day 10: Zanzibar – Depart

Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the Airport for your international homebound flight.
